| On June 24, 1981, the Virgin Mary was reported to have appeared to two young people in the tiny village of Medjugorje, Bosnia-Hercegovina. Soon four more young people began seeing her. The apparitions continued to take place daily. They are still continuing for, I believe, two of the visionaries. The Church has not yet approved these apparitions as they are still taking place. The fruits of Medjugorje, however, are good. Countless conversions have taken place as a result of pilgrimages to Medjugorje and hearing the words of Our Lady to the visionaries. Mary simply speaks God's word to our world: a word of peace, love and faith in God. She proclaims the gospel of Jesus, her Son. Her words are simple, but profoud. If we meditate on them and put them into practice we will see good spiritual fruit in our lives.
